How does it work?
Each week you pick the winner for each game up to 15
minutes before it is scheduled to start. We throw out your 4 worst weeks so
only your best 17 weeks count toward your overall score.
Can I still play if the season has already started?
Yes. Your picks going forward will be counted toward your score. We throw out your 4 worst
weeks so the top 17 weeks count toward your overall score. If you start before week 5 you'll
be fine. If you start after week 5 you'll be behind the others in terms of the overall season,
but you could still win a prize for an individual week.
What if I don't pick a week?
If you don't make a pick the computer will select the most picked teams for you.
Are there prizes?
Yes. Weekly Prizes.
Can I play with a "private group" of friends and family?
Yes. After you register and log in, just click on "My Private Groups" which will appear in the upper-left hand corner of the page. After the page loads, click on "Create a Private Group" and follow the instructions.
Did you know there are two ways to play?
You can play both our online contest and the print Pigskin Picks game. The in-print contest features only Sunday's games, while the online contest includes Thursday and Monday night games. The prize is the same for each week's print winner: a $25 gift certificate to one our contest sponsor businesses. Entry forms appear in the prior Sunday's paper for the following week's games and must be submitted by no later than noon on Friday.
